David Sirkis is an Israeli drummer, composer, and bandleader based in New York City, where he has quickly become an in-demand presence on the jazz scene, known for his versatility and distinctive approach to rhythm. His work blends modern jazz with Middle Eastern rhythmic elements, shaping a sound that is both rooted in tradition and forward-looking.

He has performed alongside internationally recognized artists including Gilad Hekselman, Tivon Pennicott, Joe Martin, George Braith, and Jon Davis, among others.

As both a bandleader and co-bandleader, Sirkis has released three projects: "When It All Starts," his debut as a leader; "Qamar Al-Din" with his band Komradin; and "Look Up!" (2026), featuring leading voices from the NYC jazz scene.

 

He has performed at international festivals including the Red Sea Jazz Festival and the London EFG Jazz Festival, and at venues such as the Jazz Gallery, Smalls Jazz Club, Mezzrow, and Ornithology Jazz Club.
